Miquel Casals wins the Gil Soundtrack Award 2024 with his work “Symphony of a Paradigm".
This composer from Barcelona has won the fifth International Soundtrack Award, promoted by the Viñas Familia Gil group of wineries. The jury, presided over by Esther García, the winner of 3 Goya Awards and the National Cinematography Prize, has selected a single composer from among the 6 finalists. This concludes the biennial competition, the largest prize in the world for young composers.
Miquel’s piece will be the soundtrack of the short film by Gerard Vidal Cortés, starring
Ivana Baquero.
The award consists of a significant monetary prize that is intended as a way for him to round off his musical career. This international prize, which is unique in its category and the largest of its kind in the world, seeks to promote and showcase the beginnings of thousands of young composers who undertake to bestow universal emotional identity on films, video games, documentaries and all types of audiovisual projects.
